F.P Report

PESHAWAR: Despite restoration of ration and completion of survey in the area, the affected tribesmen of Upper Orakzai Agency have urged federal government, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata Secretariat to instantly make arrangements for repatriation of them to hometowns.

A great number of dislocated persons gathered outside the Peshawar press club on Thursday and rallied towards governor houses KP for recording protest against not sending them back to their homes despite restoration of ration and completion of survey conducted for assessment of damages. The demonstrators while holding placards and banners inscribed in favor of their demands.

They complained that they had been displaced back in 2008 after military operation kicked off against alleged militants in Upper Orakzai Agency but unluckily the relevant authorities were not ready to return them to enter their area. Tribesmen informed that the registration process of thousands of families of Mamuzai tribe has been completed and that the repatriation was not ensured yet.

Because of unexpected delay in return of dislocated tribesmen, they stated that international organizations have stopped giving ration to them anymore.

Protestors asked authorities concerned to restore their ration and also make required arrangements for their dignified return. They warned they would hold protest in Islamabad if relevant authorities failed to accept their demands.
