Death toll rises to 22 in suicide blast at Shrine in Jhal Magsi

QUETTA: The death toll has risen to 22 in Thursday’s suicide attack at the shrine in Jhal Magsi area of Balochistan.

Officials confirmed that on Friday two under treatment victim of the blast, one identified as Nisar Shah succumbed to injuries at the Chandka hospital in Larkana on Friday morning.

Police official told that the evidence has been collected from site of the blast and investigations are underway. Police official claimed that the bravery of police officials and security guards at the site saved dozens of lives by stopping the attacker outside the shrine.

The brave police constable who stopped the bomber at shrines entrance was identified as Bahar Khan.

Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti added that he had instructed relevant authorities to respond immediately to the incident.

Security forces reached the spot and cordoned the area after the incident.
