Bank official records statement in corruption cases against Sharif family

ISLAMABAD: The accountability court record statements of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) witness, Tayyab Ahmed and he also provided details of foreign bank accounts and transactions of Nawaz Sharif and his son Hussain Nawaz.

Accountability court hearing corruption references against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family resumed its proceedings on Wednesday and Judge Judge Mohammad Bashir conducted the proceedings of the Al Azizia Steel Mills reference.

The hearing was then adjourned until tomorrow (Thursday), when Tayyab, for the fourth day, will continue recording his statement.

On Tuesday, as Nawaz and daughter Maryam departed for London, following the approval of their exemption from appearance on Monday, only Nawaz’s son-in-law, MNA Capt (retd) Safdar, was present in court.
