PESHAWAR: The Bank of Khyber (BoK) earned Rs. 1,375 million profit after tax (PAT) during the period ended on September 30, 2017.
It was learnt during 146th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank held in the federal capital. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Shahzad Khan Bangash, Additional Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Chairman of the Bank’s Board, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Provincial Finance Secretary, Mr. Maqsood Ismail Ahmad, Mr. Javed Akhtar and Mr. Rashid Ali Khan participated in the meeting.
The participants of the meeting were pleased to learn that at the end of the period reviews, the Bank of Khyber lending Rs .70,611 million with an increase of 96% comparing to last year figure of Rs.36,054 million.
The board was informed that by the end of 3rd quarter of the current year, the bank was operating with 165 branches wherein 83 branches were functioning as dedicated Islamic Banking Branches.
The board expressed its satisfaction on the nine-month results and advised the management to work more diligently to achieve the targets and participate in the socio- economic uplift of the province.
