KAMALIA: A brother allegedly shot dead his sister in Kamalia area of Punjab on Thursday afternoon.
According to police, one Tahir allegedly shot his sister identified as Sobia in a leg a month ago after she expressed her wish to marry a man of her choice and later locked her inside the room.
The injured Subia succumbed to her wounds and the suspect managed to escape from the scene.
The body has been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.
A case has been registered and further investigation is under way.
