F.P. Report

LAHORE: The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar showed displeasure over the new Multan judicial complex and ordered to reopen the old courts in Multan’s Katchery Chowk and it also put an end to tussle between the lawyers and authorities.

This he said while hearing the suo motu case regarding the transfer of judicial complex in Multan. As per details, last month the Session and District courts in the city were shifted to newly construct judicial complex on Matital road Multan.

Justice Saqib Nisar expressed anger at LHC registrar Syed Khurshid Anawar Rizvi for shifting the court without ensuring the provision of necessary facilities.

The court ruled that the courts should be reopened in the next 10 days.

CJP remarked that there is also no security at the new judicial complex, adding that there are no facilities to protect lawyers from harsh weather conditions.
