MELBOURNE: At least thirteen people were injured when a car deliberately hit the crowd in Melbourne city of Australia on Thursday.
Police told international news agency that a motor car deliberately hit the crowd in which thirteen people were injured and some of them were in serious condition.
Victoria Police´s Commander Russell Barrett told media persons that they had arrested the driver of the car after it hit the pedestrians in the downtown Melbourne at busy intersection of the area. A second man was also arrested
He added that police believe based on what we have seen that it is a deliberate act. The motivations are unknown.
Rescue workers shifted the injured to hospital after the incident and claimed that some of them were in critical situation.
