Continued humanitarian aid to Afghanistan essential: ARCS

KABUL (Agencies): The President of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) in a meeting with the President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority said that continued and further humanitarian aid to Afghanistan is important for responding to current economic crisis in the country.
According to a statement from ARCS, the Acting President of Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) Mawlavi Mati-ul-Haq Khalis met with President of Saudi Red Crescent Authority Dr. Jalal Al-Owaisi, on the sidelines of the fifth consultative meeting of national Red Cross societies, which was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In the meeting, Mawlavi Muti-ul-Haq Khalis stated that continued and increasing international help to Afghanistan is critical to alleviating the country’s current economic crisis. He also requested for cooperation in the health sector of Afghanistan.
Acting President of ARCS Mawlavi Muti-ul-Haq Khalis also met with Faiz Ali, the deputy president of the Tajik Red Crescent and his accompanying delegation and discussed signing a memorandum of understanding for strengthen cooperation between the two organizations.For Better Communication between Gov’t and Public, 1259 Religious Scholars Appointed.
