Court allows Fawad’s interrogation in jail

RAWALPINDI: A local court has allowed the investigation of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in a case registered against him by the Anti-Corruption Department, Rawalpindi, in jail.

The hearing was conducted by Duty Judge Judicial Rao Ijaz Ahmed on Saturday.

Fawad Chaudhry is in Adiala Jail on judicial remand in the case registered at Abpara police station.

The investigation officer told the court that the Anti-Corruption Department, Rawalpindi wants to make Fawad Ch part of the investigation being held in a corruption case against him, pleading the court to grant authorities permission to interrogate him in the jail.

Accepting the IO’s request, the court permitted the authorities to investigate Fawad Ch in jail.
