CTD kills two Daesh terrorists in Karachi shootout

KARACHI: Two terrorists allegedly having links with Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (Daesh), were gunned down in an encounter with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel in Karachi on Saturday.

According to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CTD Ijaz Sheikh, a raid was carried out on their hideout late at night in Taiser Town of Karachi.

In the ensuing gunfight with CTD, two terrorists were killed and four CTD personnel were severely wounded with two of them in critical condition.

As per a CTD spokesman, four police officials – Abid, Ashar Khan, Irfan and Maula Bakhsh – were injured during the gunbattle.
