Dragging army in politics is shameful: Ayesha Gulalai

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA, Ayesha Gulalai has said it is very unfortunate that some elements in the country trying to dragging Army in the politics without any consideration that it will destroy our powerful institution.

She said this while addressing to media persons outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday. Ayesha Gulalai said that Army is the only institution working in the country and performing its responsibilities.

She added that our soldiers are fighting against the terrorists for the sake of country and ensuring the peace in the area but still it is very unfortunate that some politicians trying defaming the army for their political benefits.

Ayesha Gulalai thanked the World Bank for announcing aid of $114 million for the people of tribal belt and she also criticized the government for the creating hurdles in implementing the FATA reforms in the tribal belt and also rejected the idea of appointing a COO to supervise the process. She termed it that this is another trick of the bureaucracy to loot the funds.
