The statement said that the meeting focused on a wide range of issues, including bilateral cooperation, common interests, and ways to address common concerns.

Deputy Foreign Minister Zaman recalled the historical ties between Afghanistan and Egypt and commended the areas of bilateral cooperation as important, the source said.

The statement said that Zaman briefed the Egyptian envoy, Mostafa Ahmad on the upcoming Kabul Process’s 3rd meeting and said Egypt’s deputy foreign minister would be invited to the event.
