ETEA Engineering Entrance Test 2022 successfully held

PESHAWAR: The Entrance Test for Academic Session 2022-23 for the public and private sector engineering universities and colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was successfully conducted simultaneously here today at Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, Swat, Malakand, Kohat, and D.I. Khan Centers.
The test was conducted by the Educational Testing and Evaluating Agency (ETEA) of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Around 6880 candidates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, erstwhile FATA, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan appeared for the entrance test in which 572 female candidates were also included. The result will be announced on 22nd August, 2022 (Monday) and available on ETEA website (www.etea.edu.pk).
The Vice Chancellor, University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Hussain, visited the Center in Peshawar. He appreciated the efforts of ETEA for smooth conduction of the test. He thanked the Higher Education Department under the leadership of Mr. Kamran Bangash Minister for Higher Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for introducing special initiatives and reforms by reducing registration fee for entrance test from Rs. 2500 to Rs. 500. He said, this scheme was taken to bringing the deserving and talented youth in the engineering education net that because of financial constraints were not able to apply for admissions in the public and private sector engineering universities and colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also said, reforms in the entrance test were also introduced by reducing the number of MCQ’s from 200 to 100 in two hours and excluding the negative marking on wrong answers.
The Executive Director ETEA, Mr. Yasir Imran said, ETEA followed the Government instructions for conducting the test across the province. He expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements and facilities that were provided to the candidates at all centers.
