HAFIZABAD: Five persons were seriously injured in a head-on collision between a wagon and a truck on Pindi Bhattian road near Sadwan Tarar about 15-km from here due to poor visibility owning to thick smog.
Police told media persons that a van No. RIF-2980 was proceeding towards Pindi Bhattian when a recklessly driven truck No. LHD-5940 coming from opposite direction collided with it, as a result of which Abbas, Irshad, Adnan, Faraz Ahmad and Raheem Buksh sustained serious injuries and were shifted to the Trauma Centre Hafizabad where they are struggling for life. The police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver Mahboob Yasin accordingly.
