Flash floods caused heavy financial losses in Balkh

MAZAR-E-SHARIF (Agencies): Flash floods have caused heavy financial losses to residents of Chaharkant district, northern Balkh province.

Salima Mazari district governor of Chaharkant said, over 120 residential houses, dozens garden and hundreds acres of lands have been destroyed following flash floods in six villages of Chaharkant district.

Residents of Chaharkant district called hazardous the flash floods said, not more than 700 houses are under threat of floods and landslide in the district.

Rahmatullah Zahid head of counter-natural disaster said, a delegation for surveying affected families have been sent to the Chaharkant district of the province.
