Four executed in Egypt for 2015 bombing

CAIRO: The Egyptian authorities on Tuesday executed four people for involvement in a bombing in northern Egypt that left three people dead, according to a local official.

The four had been convicted earlier for alleged involvement in a bombing in Egypt’s northern Kafr al-Sheikh province in 2015, one local official, speaking anonymously as he was not authorized to speak to the media, told Anadolu Agency.

According to the same official, Tuesday’s executions were overseen by the Interior Ministry in Alexandria’s Borg al-Arab Prison.
