Four gunned down over old enmity in Kohat

KOHAT: Four persons were gunned down over old enmity in Nawan Kalley, district Kohat Thursday. Police has arrested all four accused along with weapon used in the murder.

According to details, four persons namely Mohammad Bilal, Mohammad Rauf, Mohammad Shafiq and Ihsanullah were gunned down on Wednesday evening over old enmity in Ittehad Colony at Nawan Kalley situated on Hangu Road in Kohat. The culprits after committing the crime managed their escape good while the bodies of the deceased were shifted to Liquat Memorial Women and Children Hospital for postmortem.

Soon after receiving the report of the incident, District Police Officer (DPO), Abbas Majeed Marwat ordered immediate arrest of the accused on which DSP City, Raza Mohammad and SHO, Kohat Cantonment, Mohammad Ali along with heavy contingent of operational police and elite force reached the spot of the incident and after cordoning of the area launched search operation. The police teams with the help of sniffer dogs conducted raids in different areas and arrested all four accused identified as Mohammad Qasim son of Shah Zaman, Israr son of Nasim, Farooq son of Nasir and an Afghan national Jan Mohammad son of Gul Zaman and also arrested weapons used in the murder included two Kalashnikovs, two pistols and hundreds of cartridges.

On the complaint of Abid Khan son of Ghuncha Gul, brother of the one deceased Mohammad Shafiq, police has registered FIR of the incident against the under custody accused. The investigation team of the police has collected crucial forensic evidences from the spot and launched investigation into the incident from different aspects.
