LAHORE: During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 252 connections; Rs 5.8 million fine imposed.
In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 12 connections on illegal use of gas while another 03 on use of compressor.
In Rawalpindi the team disconnected 4 connections on illegal use of gas while another 1 on use of compressor and amount of Rs 0.21 million against gas theft cases. The team also lodged one FIR against gas theft case.
In Multan 04 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while another 20 on use of compressor.
In Peshawar and Karak, the company disconnected 155 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 5.5 million against gas theft cases.
In Sahiwal two connections were disconnected on use of compressor while another 2 on illegal use of gas.
In Sheikhupura 43 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 0.03 million booked against gas theft cases.
The regional team of Bahawalpur disconnected 01 connection on illegal use of gas.
In Faisalabad the team disconnected 5 connections on illegal use of gas and imposed fine of Rs 0.06 million against gas theft cases.
