Ghani approves appointment of 3 new deputies to Office of National Security Council

KABUL (Khaama Press): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has approved the appointment of three new deputies for the Office of the National Security Council.

According to a statement released by Office of National Security Council, Wali Munawar has been appointed as deputy strategic relations to Office of the National Security Council.

The statement further added that Mr. Munawar will replace Syed Anwar Sadat who is currently serving as acting minister of the ministry of labor and social affairs.

In the meantime, Mohammad Hami Tahmasi has been appointed as deputy of the Commander-in-Chief to the Office of National Security Council who will replace Gen. Yaseen Zia who is currently serving as deputy defense minister.

The Office of the National Security Council also added that a new department has been established in the Office of the National Security Council considering the sensitive issue of peace, protection of civilians, and responding to the needs of the fallen soldiers and Mr. Shahrzad Akbar’s appointment for the same position has been approved.
