Govt announces 3-day holiday for schools around Data Darbar in Lahore

LAHORE: A three-day holiday has been announced for schools in the neighbourhood of Data Darbar, Lahore amid the Urs celebrations of Sufi saint Hazrat Ali Hajveri (RH).

According to the official sources, Government Central Model School, Rattigan Road and Government Central Model School, Lower Mall will remain closed for three days.

Similarly, Government Muslim High School No. 2 and Government Saleem Model High School will also remain closed for three days.

Also, Government Higher Secondary School, Ravi Road and other schools will remain closed for three days. All these schools will reopen on Monday.

It is to be noted here that the Urs celebrations of Sufi Saint Hazrat Ali Hajveri (RH) have started in Lahore, and roads leading to the shrine have been blocked with containers and other barriers for security purpose.
