Govt decides to have a cleanliness drive

PESHAWAR: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to have a competitive cleanliness drive throughout the province amongst 77 Tehsil Municipal Administrations, six Water and Sanitation Services Companies and local institutions responsible for the cleanliness and removing of waste from their respective jurisdictions.

In this connection the first, second and third position holders would also be awarded a huge cash prize.

In the directives issued by the Performance Management and Reforms Unit (PMRU), Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Office, a schedule of total 140 marks has been issued, for different activities to all the concerned units.

Differents marks are allocated for carrying out various tasks regarding the cleanliness and disposing of wastes.

The directives further said that the company/unit getting first position would be given a cash prize of Rs. 30 Million, the second position holder will get Rs. 20 Million while the third position holder will get Rs. 10 Million. It further stated that 80 percent of the prize amount would meant for the organization while 20 percent would be distributed amongst the employees of the concerned unit as bonus.

The directives further said that the organizations that give bad performance would be brought to book and must face the music.

The competition would start from 1st April 2018 and would continue upto 30th June of this year.

The aim of the competition is to provide clean atmosphere to the general public throughout the province and motivate the concerned quarters for a healthy competition/ activity.
