PESHAWAR (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police here Thursday released the reports of its performance for the first the three months of year 2018. As per the report issued by Director Public Relations, the KP police have achieved 100% success in eliminating the incidents of kidnapping for ransom during last three months.
The report further said that confidence of people has been restored in its police and 62 percent decrease was witnessed in cases related to interference in government affairs. It said that owing to consistent intelligence based search and strike operations by the police and security force, a considerable decrease of 85 percent was witnessed in incidents of terrorism.
A notable decrease of 56 percent was also witnessed in the incidents of extortion during last three months while owing to successful drive against illegal arms, extra ammunition and arms were recovered as compared to last year.
The report said that due to affective action against drug dealers, the number of cases registered in this regard were higher than the last year’s same period.
It said that ratio of crimes was at the lowest during 2017 as compared to last ten years while during first three months of 2018 this ratio was better than 2017.
