Govt to do legislation for media industry: Mushtaq Ghani

PESHAWAR: Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani Tuesday deplored termination of journalists and workers by national media groups and assured that the government would do legislation for media industry, journalists and works.

Talking to a delegation of Khyber Union of Journalists here at his chamber, he expressed solidarity with the sacked journalists and workers and said the provincial assembly has asked Information department to start work on legislation.

The Speaker said that legislation would be aimed to stop un-justified termination of employees and journalists by media groups in KP.

He assured the delegation of journalists that their problems would be resolved on priority basis.
