KARACHI: Pakistan women’s team all-rounder Aliya Riaz is hopeful to fulfill his role in the team and give a strong answer to the West Indies by hitting the ball big in the upcoming T20I series scheduled start in Karachi from January 31.
Aliya while talking to the media said that West Indies’s players with their power-hitting ability can thrash any bowling line in the world. “We will be making our presence strong by trying to restrict them to hit big shots,” said Aliya who said that they have also players like Erum Javed and Nida Dar who can be lethal for Pakistan with the bat. Aliya is confident with their preparations ahead of the series and said that they will be having home advantage against West Indies.
“Playing at home condition always give you an edge. We will try to make the most out of this opportunity,” she said. Aliya added that they have defeated the girls in Marroon earlier so they are aware of their strengths. “We know how to tackle them,” she said. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan will play three T20I series against the West Indies on January 31, February 1 and 3 in Karachi while three-match ODI series will take place in the UAE.
