Govt to fill all vacant posts by March 31: Shaukat

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai Wednesday said that the provincial government was all set to fill vacant posts in different departments by March 31.

Addressing a press conference here to share decisions of cabinet meeting, he said that 6,000 persons would be inducted in KP Police, while 15,000 induction to be made within three months, adding that all provincial departments have been asked to intimate about available vacant posts.

He said that the government would improve the education and health sectors in the newly merged tribal districts with several initiatives to be taken soon.

He said that initially all the closed schools in the merged districts would be re-opened and made functional within 2 to 3 months while the missing facilities would also be made available there.

He said that Independent Monitoring Units (IMU) have started working in the merged districts to ascertain missing facilities at schools besides ensuring presences of teachers.

Referring to health sector in merged district, he said that health services in as many as 25 tehsil would be up-graded and a mechanism would be developed for availability of doctors and paramedics as well as medicines at the hospitals round the clock. He said that Sehat Insaf Card would be provided to each tribal families without any favoritism.

He said in the month of February sports Gala would be arranged in tribal districts to provide recreational facilities to tribal people.

Regarding conduct of election in the merged districts, the minister said that in first phase the local government elections would be held in tribal districts for which the government is all set to hold.

Shaukat Yousafzai said the government would provide interest-free loans to tribal youth to make them self-dependent.
