Pak earnestly desires peace in Afghanistan: Governor

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman has said, Pakistan supports the peace dialogue between Government of Afghanistan and its opposition in the country. “We earnestly desire peace in Afghanistanwhich is also in our best interests.”

The Governor was talking to Afghan Ambassador in Pakistan Shukrakullah Atif Mushal who called on him here at Governor’s House.

The distinguished guest who was also accompanied by the senior officials of the Afghan Embassy remained with the Governor for some time and discussed various issues and matters of mutual interest.

While mentioning the importance of brotherly relationships between both the countries, the Governor said that people of two countries share the values of common language as well as religious, civic, social and cultural bonds since centuries.

He said Pakistan and Afghanistan should have to join hands with each other to achieve development and progress. “By strengthening mutual cohesion and cooperation we can achieve this goal,” he observed.
