Govt urged to withdraw recent rise in CNICs fees

PESHAWAR: Parliamentary leader of ANP in KP Assembly Sardar Hussain Babak expressed concern over recent rise in the fees of the national identity cards, saying provision of CNIC to the citizens was the responsibility of the government.

In a statement here he said that his party rejected the increase in the fees of the national identity cards and demanded of the government to withdraw the same as it would further add up to the miseries of the people.

The government has increased the fee of Smart Card from Rs400 to Rs750, Urgent Card from Rs800 to Rs1500, Executive Card from Rs1600 to Rs2500, duplicate card from Rs1000 to Rs2150, renewal of card from Rs75 to Rs400, and changes in card from Rs200 to Rs400.
