Govts urged to weed out menace of terrorism

CHARADDA: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has impressed upon the Federal and Provincial governments to put aside their personnel political interests and weed out the menace of terrorism to from country, particularly from Khyber Pakhtunkhawa which had long been affected from terrorism.

He said this while addressing after an inauguration ceremony of Gas project at Shabqadar Charssada. Aftab Shepao demanded the judicial enquiry into the agriculture training institute attack in Peshawar and the investigation and the report it should be make public.

He condemned the government for poor law and order. He asked the government to frame concrete policies for the surety of lives and properties of the common man. He said that the law enforcers and general public had rendered numerous sacrifices, but the government was not serious in their welfare work. He said that the government had failed to protect the people.

Aftab Sherpao demanded the immediate integration of FATA with KP along with sincere steps. He said that FATA should be integrated into KP before the general elections in 2018 so that proper representation of the Pakhtuns in the National Assembly and Senate is made possible. He rejected the five and ten years plan for the merger devised by the federal government.

He also demanded the abolition Frontiers Crimes Regulation (FCR), which govern Fata. He said that the people of Fata should be given equal rights like the rest of the citizens of Pakistan. Chairman clarified that the integration of Fata with KP will make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the second largest province of the federation and it will put an end to the decades of exploitation of people of FATA. He stated that the people of FATA have been deprived of development in all sectors despite the fact that the people of FATA have rendered numerous sacrifices of defending the country.

Sherpao said that agriculture is the backbone of country economy and. He said keeping in view the importance agriculture the government in improvements in the in its per new challenges and the farmers must be empowered to ensure sustainable economic growth in the field. He said that due to the poor policies of the government the problems of the farmers are increasing with every passing day which not a good omen. He demanded the resolve remove the ban on the import of the sugarcane from Afghanistan.

He added that QWP will stand firmly with the people of Palatine. He demanded the US government to immediately take back the decision as it has created upheaval in the entire Muslim world and the act is against the Muslim’s sentiments. He termed the US move as the sheer violation of International Law United Nations Security resolution and the violation of the global consensus on the Palestine Conflict. He said that this will increased the anti-American blowback.
