HMC releases Anti-dengue treatment report

PESHAWAR: All the patients admitted in Medical Teaching Institute Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) hospital were discharged.

According to spokesperson of HMC, no more patients are available there . A total of 29,414 patients were screened for dengue while 5,185 dengue victims were admitted in Medical Teaching Institute Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC), he added. He said amongst 28,414 patients 1280 patients were discharged soon after treatment while 3,888 were advised home treatment.

Twelve patients including eight women died of dengue disease. All the admitted dengue patients were given free treatment including screening tests. Under the directives of hospital’s Board of Governor, a special OPD was established in HMC provided help to dengue victims round the clock. Dengue Cell was also established in the hospital to enumerate the data of dengue affected patients and send them to associated departments of Public Health, Director Public Health, Deputy Commissioner Office, World Health Organization, Dengue Response Unit, and Independent Cell.
