Head of Educational Development killed

KABUL (Khaama Press): According to reports from media outlets, Abdul Ghafar Hamdard, who served as the head of the Medical Education Development Section at Kabul University of Medical Sciences, was murdered by individuals described as “unknown armed individuals.”
A member of the Medical Education Development Section at Kabul University of Medical Sciences said that Mr Hamdard was killed around 4:00 PM Wednesday, December 27th in the Kart-e-Naw area of Kabul as reported by Etilaat Roz Newspaper.
He added that Hamdard was shot and killed inside his clinic at Roshan Hospital by unidentified gunmen.
The report says that Abdul Ghafar Hamdard had previously served as the head of the Maiwand Hospital and was a member of the academic staff at the Kabul University of Medical Sciences.
So far, no individual or group has claimed responsibility for the murder of this university official.
The Taliban’s security command in Kabul and the security institutions of this group have not yet commented on the matter.
Mysterious murders and the assassination of individuals have increased in various parts of the country, especially in Kabul, the capital, since the Taliban’s resurgence in August 2023.
The perpetrators behind these killings are frequently labelled as “unknown armed individuals.” This vague identification points to the anonymity and elusive nature of the assailants involved in such violent acts.
Despite the grave nature of these crimes, investigations and follow-ups are uncommon. The lack of accountability and pursuit of these unknown assailants often leaves the cases unresolved and shrouded in mystery.
