IED blast kills 1 civilian in Kabul

KABUL: One civilian was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Kabul city on late Saturday, Kabul police said on Sunday.

Nusrat Rahimi, the Ministry of Interior spokesman, said that an Afghan police vehicle hit an improvised explosive device (IED) in PD3 of Kabul city, killing at least one civilian. Four others were wounded in the blast, Rahimi added. According to Rahimi, a police vehicle was destroyed in the blast and investigations are underway. No group has yet claimed responsibility.
