Indonesia reiterates help to Afghan peace process

KABUL (Agencies): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi on the sideline of OIC summit in Makkah.

According to reports, both sides discussed enhancing bilateral relations, including Indonesia’s role in Afghan peace process.

Praising Indonesia’s support of Afghan peace process and hosting of Ulema Conference, President Ghani said a cohesion and mutual respect atmospheres was existed in Indonesia and the country could play a prominent role in Afghanistan peace process.

Indonesian Foreign Minister said her country was interested to host a dialogue, joint meeting of women’s and Ulema on Afghan peace process.

She also said that would like to share their election related experiences with Afghanistan electoral commissions. Thanking Indonesia’s programs for Afghan peace, the President said relevant organs to step up for holding of the events.
