Injured ISIS group member arrested in Nangarhar

JALALABAD: A wounded member of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group was arrested following a brief clash in eastern Nangarhar province.

The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in a statement said a group of ISIS militants were attempting to shift one of their wounded members to a health facility in WazirTangi area of Khogyani district when they were ambushed by security forces.

The statement further added that the ISIS militants were forced to retreat and flee the area after a brief clash leaving behind their wounded comrade.

The wounded ISIS member was arrested a horse was confiscated followign the clash, the 201st Silab Corps said, adding that the detained IS member is currently in security forces custody. The anti-government armed militants including ISIS sympathizers have not commented regarding the arrest of their comrade so far.(Khaama Press)
