HEART (Agencies): Iranian general consulate in meeting with Noor Ahmad Islam Jar said its country is ready to invest in Afghanistan mines sector.
A statement to Bakhtar News Agency said both Afghan and Iranian sides discussed terms of investments, trade, and economic cooperation, during a meeting in that province.
Governor Islam Jar, Mawlavi Shiramad Ammar Mohajer, Head of Foreign Minister office in Herat, and Mawlavi Fazl Ahmad Khamoush, head of Mines and Petroleum met with Mohammad Sediqi far, general consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, the Iranian sides expressed interest in investing in the sector of mines in Afghanistan.
Herat governor hailed the Iranian interest, adding that after the Ministry of Mines and petroleum decision they are ready to cooperate. He stressed the need for work permit visas for Afghan youth and called on the Iranian side to cooperate in the matter.
The Iranian general consulate pledged cooperation and said efforts were underway to promote work permit visas for Afghans.
