ISE holds two-day national book fair

PESHAWAR: The Islamic Society of Engineers (ISE), University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, has arranged its first ever two-day national book fair at Sports lawn of the University, offering books on 10 to 50 percent discounted rates.

Around 40 leading national academies, publishers and book sellers are participating in the book fair.   

Former UET Vice Chancellor Dr Noor Muhammad inaugurated the first day of the book fair.

Study Aid Foundation for Excellence (SAFE) Director Shafiq Ur Rehman, UET Registrar Dr Khizar Azam, Dr Naeem Khattak, and Islamic University of Engineers president Muhammad Junaid Shafi were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Noor Muhammad felicitated the ISE for organizing such a knowledge-oriented event, saying organization of such an event in this era where our youths are fed up with books and pen, is highly appreciable.

He said the only solution to all the prevailing issues is acquiring education and reading books. SAFE Director Shafiq Ur Rehman also spoke on the occasion.
