Ishaq Dar gets his Gulberg residence back in ‘bad condition’

LAHORE: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar’s house in Gulberg area of Lahore was returned to him but in a “bad condition”.

Ishaq Dar’s secretary said that the officials of the district administration damaged the house, adding that many valuable items in the house were missing. “All the ACs in the house are missing. All the valuable chandeliers installed in the house are also broken,” he said.
“Crockery and kitchen items are missing. Sanitary items and wash basins in the washrooms are also broken,” he added. “The house was with the district administration. The electric water cooler outside the house is also missing,” he stated.

On the other hand, the Lahore deputy commissioner sent a summary for the return of the frozen assets of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. The deputy commissioner sent a note to the chief secretary for the return of Rs509 million worth of frozen assets to Ishaq Dar. After the approval of the Finance Department, the frozen assets will be paid to Ishaq Dar. (NNI)
