KABUL: The ISIS Khurasan (ISIS-K) militants have killed two group members of Taliban in eastern Laghman province of Afghanistn, the Afghan Miliray said Thursday.
According to a statement released by 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Army in the East, the two Taliban group members were killed in Alingar ditrict. The statement further added that the slain Taliban group members have been identified as Abdul Mateen and Abdul Muqeem who were killed by ISIS-K militants in Saw Dara area of Alingar.
The 201st Silab Corps in another statement said two ISIS-K militants identified as Ziaullah and Aziz Khan also surrendered to the Afghan forces in Noor Lam Dara area of the district on Wednesday.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban and ISIS Khurasan have not commented regarding the incident so far.
Laghman is among the relatively calm provinces in East of Afghanistan but the anti-government armed militants including Taliban and ISIS-K have been attempting to expand their foothold in this province during the recent years. (Khaama Press)
