ISPR: FC soldier martyred in cross-border fire from Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) has said that one Frontier Corps (FC) soldier, Naik Fakhr Abbas, embraced martyrdom and two others sustained injuries in a cross-border fire from Afghanistan, on Tuesday.

The military media wing said that the terrorists targeted a security forces border post in Manzakai sector of Zhob district from across the border in Afghanistan, in a result a 22-year-old FC soldier, Naik Fakhr Abbas, was martyred while 2 soldiers got injured in the attack.

ISPR said that Pakistan has been consistently raising the issue of effective border management on the Afghan side with Afghanistan authorities and to keep a check on cross-border terrorist incidents.
