Italian envoys in Kabul for talks with IEA

KABUL (Ariana News): The Chargé d’Affaires of the Italian Embassy in Afghanistan, Natalia Quintaville, and the Special Representative of Italy for Afghanistan, John Franco Petrozella, called on IEA Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi for talks on strengthening bilateral relations.

The meeting touched on the recent UN-Doha meeting and upcoming UN meetings on Afghanistan, the development of the bilateral and multilateral relations of IEA with Western countries and humanitarian assistance from Italy for Afghanistan, said the foreign ministry.

According to the ministry, Natalia Quintaville said that the Republic of Italy is working with the World Bank and its partners in economic fields in order to help Afghanistan’s economic stability in addition to providing humanitarian aid.

Muttaqi said that the IEA seeks balanced relations with all the countries of the world, and doors for engagement are open to all countries. He also said Western countries can also move forward to engage with the IEA similar to that already happening with other countries.

Muttaqi said the IEA welcomes any efforts that can bring prosperity to the people of Afghanistan.
