Italy to miss the FIFA World Cup for first time in 60 years

ROME: For the first time in the last 60 years Italy was failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup after it draw the match at home against Sweden, who cemented a place at next year’s tournament.

Italy, the four times champions who had not missed the World Cup since 1958, the Italian players attacked the visitors and enjoyed 75% possession of the ball but unfortunately could not find a chance to score a goal and play in the FIFA World Cup

The hosts, who enjoyed 75 percent of possession, had shots cleared off the line, others stopped by Olsen and penalty appeals turned down as they pressed desperately for a goal.
