F.P. Report

LAHORE: Important details of the attack by miscreants on Jinnah House (also the residence of Corps Commander Lahore) following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on May 9 last have come to light, on Wednesday.

According to the timeline of the attacks disclosed by the miscreants, the violent protesters started gathering at Zaman Park, Lahore between 2:35 and 2:40 pm.

Yasmin Rashid and other PTI leaders reached Liberty Chowk, Lahore between 2:55 and 3:20 pm.

The protesters turned towards the Cantonment area at 4:05 pm. A group of miscreants was already there at Sherpao Bridge before 4:05 pm.

The first attack was carried out by 25 to 30 people on Jinnah House at 5:15 pm, but it was pushed back.

At 5:27 pm, the miscreants re-entered Jinnah House as their number had increased gradually. They ransacked Jinnah House and caused serious damage to it between 5:30 and 6:00 pm.

At 6:07 pm, Jinnah House was completely burnt down. At 6:10 pm, further reinforcements of miscreants from the Fortress Stadium reached Jinnah House, and they also played their part in the damage.

At 6:13 pm, another band of the miscreants reached Jinnah House from Dharampura.

Between 6:30 and 7:55 pm, around 2,000 people collectively destroyed Jinnah House. The process of destruction continued till 8 pm.

Along with this, the miscreants also attacked the office of Military Engineering Services and destroyed it.

Apart from this, at more than 200 places in the rest of the country, miscreants destroyed military and civil properties, and the whole of Pakistan witnessed it.

These revelations make it clear that the attack on Jinnah House was organised with full planning and coordination, and it was backed by some leaders of the political party.
