Karzai condemns night raid in Paktika

KABUL (Agencies): Former President, Hamid Karzai strongly condemned a night raid in Paktika province that targeted civilians.

The operation was launched Sunday night in the Barmal district, in which a number of civilians including women were killed and injured.

Karzai said Monday in a statement that the operations take place while peace efforts are underway. He demanded more efforts for peace instead of increasing attacks against civilians.

Former President, Hamid Karzai wished paradise for the dead and quick recovery for the wounded people.
