KP govt, Indus health network will sign MOU

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Indus Health Network to launch a three year program with the title “Ao Tb Mitaya” (come to eliminate TB).

According to the program the doctors working in private clinics will be trained to identified the symptoms of TB as well as treatment while more five treatment centre will be established in Peshawar while five mobile units will also working in the city for the treatment of TB.

Project Director Dr. Masood while talking to The Frontier Post said that today on Tuesday the MOU will be sign by the provincial government and Indus Health Treatment Network at CM Secretariat Peshawar.

He further said that the provincial government and health department has requested to the International doctors consortium to come forward and help the provincial government for the eradication of TB.

He informed that according to the project five centre will be established in Peshawar with modern technologies where patients of TB and resistance TB patients will be treated, adding that five mobile vehicle will be also purchase where doctors will provide treatment and medicines to the patients.

It merits mention here that every year in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa around 50,000 patients of TB were registered with TB control program across the province.
