KP govt reacts to PPP’s move to NAB over BRT

F.P. Report

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai said that Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project was one the corruption-free projects adding that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was trying to divert the attention of masses from serious issue of corruption by making hype of pity issues.

The Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai, while reacting to PPP’s move to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against former chief minister Pervez Khattak over BRT project, he said that PPP should answer first for their corruption and tales of their depredation were being told in public every day.

Speaking at a press conference he said that a single penny corruption in BRT project would not be defended.

“Soon Zardari would be behind the bars for looting the wealth of the nation,” he stated and added that they would welcome the investigation of corruption in BRT project.

Shaukat maintained that PPP’s leadership was itself a champion of corruption and by making hype of BRT issue, the party was trying to cover its image.

He also said that the politics of Bilawal Bhutto was engulfed by the corruption of Zardari.
