At least nine IS militants killed in Nangarhar operation

NANGARHAR: More than nine Islamic State (IS) militants were killed or several others were injured in the operation conducted by Afghan forces in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

The provincial government told local media that at least nine IS militants were killed and many others were injured in Khogyani district operation.

The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented on the latest report so far.

Earlier, on Sunday the Nangarhar government said that at least fourteen militants affiliated with the Islamic State (IS) terrorist were killed or wounded during the latest operations in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
