Man stabs wife, sister to death

HERAT: A man killed his wife and sister in the Karukh district of Herat province of Afghanistan, police said Wednesday.

The incident took place in the limits of Karukh district when a man stabbed his wife and sister to death over domestic dispute, said Abdul Ahad Walizada, spokesman of Herat police. The alleged killer was arrested and under interrogation, he said without giving further details.

The incident occurred at a time when World women’s day is set to be observed tomorrow to highlight the problems of women.
