Mentally disturbed person killed minor girl in Swabi

SWABI: A mentally disturbed person had forced his way into a primary school in Tehsil Razaar, killed one minor girl and seriously injured another with knife attack here on Thursday, said police.

The incident was occurred in Community Girls Model School at Mohib Banda, Dagai union council. Malik Hayat, father of the mentally disturbed person Hilal Hussain, is watchman in the school. It was not immediately clear that at the time of the gory incident whether he was present in the school or not. Entering the school the mad man attacked the girls who were sitting together and seriously injuring two of them. He stopped attacking more girls and teachers when they raised loud slogans for help. The people in nearby field rush to know that what had happened.

The injured girls were taken to district headquarters hospital Mardan where one of them identified as Hina Khan, daughter of Muhammad Salim succumbed to her injuries. She was fifth grade student. Shawana, the injured girl who was also fifth grade student was stated in serious condition and under treatment in Mardan Hospital.

Knowing about the incident, police reached immediately. They arrested the mad man and recovered from him the knife, used in the incident.

Meanwhile, one person was killed and three injured in a road accident near Shewa Adda, district headquarters of Tehsil Razaar. Police said that a dumper and motorcycle collided with near the Kalu Khan police station. As result bike rider, identified Wisal Khan was killed on the spot and three other injured. The maimed were taken to Kalu Khan civil hospital.
