PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Narcotics Control, Lt Gen Salahuddin Tirmizi Thursday paid first formal visit to ANF Regional Directorate, Peshawar after assuming the charge of the office.
Upon his arrival, the Minister Narcotics Control was welcomed by Lt Col Kamal Khan Acting Force Commander ANF Regional Directorate Peshawar and ANF Staff Officers.
Acting Force Commander ANF Regional Directorate Peshawar briefed the Federal Minister on operational measures being undertaken by ANF Regional Directorate.
The Federal Minister lauded the counternarcotics endeavors being rendered by ANF Peshawar. He also appreciated the officers and officials on their dedicated efforts against drug abuse, including Drug Demand Reduction endeavors.
Lt Gen Salahuddin Tirmizi also appreciated the joint efforts in collaboration with local administration and community police to counter the supply and use of drugs in educational institutions of the province.
The Federal Minister assured his all-out support to ANF Regional Directorate. Meanwhile, during his visit Minister also planted a tree for remembrance.
