NA-4 Peshawar: ECP sets October 26 for by-election

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued a schedule for the by-election of NA-4 Peshawar seat on October 26 as it vacant after the death of PTI MNA Gulzar Khan.

ECP issued a schedule for the by-election on Friday and according to it the interested candidates can file their nomination papers from September 18 to 20 and the returning officer (RO) will starts the scrutiny of the nomination papers from September 21 to 23.

The final list of candidates will be displayed on October 4 and before that candidates can withdrawal. In the last 2013 election, Gulzar Khan had won the seat with the clear majority by securing 55,000 votes comparing to the PML-N candidates Nasir Khan Mosazai who only managed to get around 20,000 votes.
