PPP to file appeal against ATC verdict in Benazir murder case

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) decided to file appeal against verdict of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Benazir Bhutto murder case.

PPP Legal counsel, Latif Khosa said that former president Asif Ali Zardari will file three appeals against the verdict as Benazir legal heir and Latif Khosa will represent him in the court as the legal counsel.

Khosa informed media persons that first appeal will be file against the verdict to hold a separate trail against the former dictator Pervez Musharaf as he is absconding for so long and mocking the law with different tactics and alleged the former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar for giving a safe passage to the former president.

PPP central leaders hold a meeting in this regard which was chaired by Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari. Aitzaz Ahsan and Latif Khosa briefed the party leaders over the ATC verdict in Benazir murder case.

PPP leaders Khursheed Shah, Faryal Talpur, Yousaf Raza Gilani, Qamar Zaman Qaira, Farhatullah Babar, Nayyar Hussain and other senior leaders were present in the meeting.
